The company is now expanding their retail business with an in-house line of products that will be available at other stores as well. NABOBS is also drafting a franchise model where the company plans to have a kiosk model as well as a franchise offer for the cafe and bar section.

In addition to the shop, NABOBS’ cafe section has a regular menu for takeaway, delivery and dine-ins, which includes sandwiches, pasta, curries, snacks, as well as coffee, tea, espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, iced teas and lemonades and more. Launched by two sisters, Sukhmani and Bani, the F&B company has more than 40 brands from across India, and products by homemade chefs, women entrepreneurs etc.

Pandemic has seen the return of handcrafted organic foods

A sizeable shelf space can be found dedicated to hand-made foods. Sisters Bani Cheema and Sukhmani Cheema Sandhu, both advocates of healthy snacking, took it a step further, reclaiming a floor of their café in Chandigarh to accommodate their artisanal initiative, Nabobs Homemade. Their limited stock is sourced (some on pre-orders) from across India and includes hand-made and organic relishes, jams, honey, cookies and ghee, among others.
